About Us

We are an Accredited SQA supplier of first aid training

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide suitable first-aid equipment, facilities and personnel to enable immediate assistance to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work. Companies failing in their legal duties to provide this face stiff penalties including heavy fines and even jail in certain circumstances.

Who We Are

Specialist Onsite Services is part of the Outdoor Discovery group of companies, we are based in Aviemore in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland and have been successfully providing First Aid training for many years and offer services either at our own location in Aviemore, or in your own workplace.

We strongly believe in offering First Aid courses that are informative and cover all the subjects required by law, these courses are offered at a competitive price and most of our courses take an informal approach to the subject, are down to earth and have a fun element.

We send out automatic reminders to you and your first aiders so you are not caught in a situation where certificates expire, and if any Health and Safety or First Aid guidelines change in the duration of your certificate we will let you know so you can be assured that your first aiders are confident in being fully covered up to date in all areas.

We are a fully accredited first aid training provider with the SQA and offer a wide range of courses to suit all businesses and can tailor them if needed. We provide fully trained, professional first aid tutors for every course who not only hold all the necessary certificates but as part of our Outdoor Discovery group who provide ski and snowboard instruction in the Scottish Highlands, many of the instructors have actually used these skills in real-life situations and provided care and first aid to injured individuals.

We believe these real life skills make us stand apart from our competitors and we are well placed to impart our specialist knowledge as part of the first aid courses.

Our Courses

To meet your legal obligation under current health and safety regulations in respect to first aid, you must at a minimum have what is known as an "appointed person", who is responsible for what happens in the case of an accident. Larger companies or companies operating in high risk environments must also have one or more personnel qualified with a current First Aid at Work (FAW) or Emergency First Aid at work (EFAW) certificate. The following courses help you meet these legal requirements.
